They didn't have a moon base. That item he has pictured is the Transportable Tactical Battle Platform released in 1985 for $11.99 along with a rather well known vehicle, the U.S.S. Flagg Aircraft Carrier. The platform was made for land and sea and the legs were individually adjustable in height.
My brother and I had two of these platforms and the Aircraft Carrier when we were kids. We found a way to break it all, we even slept on the Aircraft Carrier. It was 7 1/2 feet long and very solid. Wish I still had that thing! I have alot more info on all of the little known G.I. Joe toys we loved as kids. Anyone has questions, just ask. Kris B. |
