Dang, that's too bad, I kinda figured something was up....I've had numerous "0 feedbackers" bid on my stuff in the last 3 months. They never pan out as far as paying or respond to e-mails. Not sure what the deal is but I'm seeing a trend that is quite alarming.
Good luck with the Flagg, something will work out. Especially here on the Tank, I'm sure someone will glady take it off your hands for a good price.

Sorry your auction didn't pan out, USS Flagg 2012.
If I didn't already have a 100% complete Flagg and another 85%+ complete one I would be so tempted to jet over from MS to take her off your hands.

Looks like I'm going to be hanging onto it for now.
I would not be surprised if the 0 feedbacker was an alt of one of the bidders or another party trying to screw up the auction to go in afterward and make a low ball offer. It's very interesting some people would make offers or bids, then afterward drop their offers by 75%. I can believe you "got caught up in the bidding" up to maybe a grand or so, but not that you "got caught up in bidding" up to 4x what you thought it was worth. There was also only 1 0 fb guy, but everyone wants to imagine they were the only real bidder. It's also possible it was someone trying to jack up the bidding just to flush more of them onto the market. 2 weeks ago, there were hardly any Flaggs on eBay, now there's more than half a dozen (albeit none in as good condition). There will probably be even more listed as people see the high bid amount (not knowing the outcome) and start listing theirs. The more come onto the market at the same time, the lower the prices. Anyone have experience selling or buying these at conventions? |
