So I won a satan filecard for a buck, however, seller is charging 24 for shipping. Is this guy gouging or what? He says it's expensive to ship from France but the FC should weigh a couple grams. Since item was one buck I don't feel the need to pay a stupid amount for international tracking. Anyone with input or advice please respond.
I feel like he's trying to squeeze some extra bucks out or did not research ship costs. I am willing tipsy some bucks but 24 seems high no matter how I cut it.

Entirely possible. I ship to europe all the time, and if they have different classes like we do it could easily be $24. Shipping an empty padded envelope to Europe using Priority would cost around $20.

I just did calculations my self. Big envelope priority is 16 and first class is 1.75. He has his shipping service marked at USPS first class but told me he's shipping with tracking. Guy wants a couple bucks on the shipping no doubt lol

Padded priorty envelope is $16.95, but that's from the U.S. to France. Do you know enough about the French postal system to call the seller a gouger over a $3 difference. They may not get free shipping supplies over there. Also, didn't you check the shipping before bidding? What was the posted price?

No, I know the price is right for French priority, I think he's charging and then sending cheaper service. I went to la poste and the have "international economic" shipping that fits a 1 dollar item better than the expensive rate. I don't think hes gouging just being retarded I guess.

I checked it for you.
The shipping charge for a 500 gram small traceable insured parcel to the US is €15.10 / $20 (current value conversion) So he's overcharging you $4. Knowing what a quality envelope costs over here I'd say he's charging you that too, which could be construed as handling. If you can agree with the seller to go for untraceable and uninsured the shipping charge would be €9.50 / $12.58 add the 4 bucks for handling and you'd save 8.

I know!! That's what it would cost shipped from the Netherlands too, but France is crazy expensive. Try buying a beer at a club or bar, they charged €4.50 for a 0.3 liter glass 3 years ago and apparently prices are still rising.
