I was pissed when my 18 month old ripped the cards on a W5 Snake Eyes and a W3 Firefly. I forgot to put them up and left them on a knee high shelf in my closet. My daughter found them and had the cards ripped to pieces. The figures survived, but we already had the same ones loose.

I don't know what I'd done if THIS had happened.

It just tells me that your 18 months old daughter has a fine motot skills and will do what a child her age expects to do. Not trying to bash you or anything because I've had it worst, Ill exlplain in a bit. It is our job as a parents to put things up and secure em good if we don't want our young children to get to them. I have a 7 months old daughter who constantly like to go to my toy room which worries me so I made sure it was safe for her to get into but my terrible 4 years old daughter had ruined my days before. Not gonna tell you what she did but the last night she did was crushed my vintage mutt and junkyard bubbles (I'm a vintage moc collectors) when asked her why she did this, she said she thought that if had noticed that the bubbles was crushed, I would give it to her since I liked my collection moc and misb. Shit she crazy for thinking that way so I had to put my very expensive mocs/misb in a very high place so she wouldn't have to repeat what she put me through.

yes If I was under 10 years old... I would think along the same lines as someone who has spent alot of time around children..... (under 15) they don't think the same way adults do.....

the reasoning isn't there.

sucks about the vintage mutt.... but atleast u know that she has a interest in joe

p.s. iF you want to save your self some trouble.. in the future.. always out away and or up your most colorful joes...

mutt and junkyard is a good examply of an eye catching figure..

same with snake eyes and SS Alley Viper.... Night Viper Moto Viper,,,

Big blocky or brightly color items attract children

why you do u think hasbro went with a explosion package and artwork?

it appeals to kids

i would probably be upset and cry...

but since those figs are still "new" (some what) and can be attained for slightly higher costs... its not "that bad"

however if i had alot of 1980's transformers or joes/thunder cats "momc" graded ect.. and came home to find one of my kids playing with them.....

i would prolly flip out... of course i would leave the house.... and be gone for a day or so because i would prolly be sick before i got mad lol

thank god i dont have kids of my own

Seems the dude is still asking a lot of money for stuff most people only buy MOC... Still, i can't imagine ever getting mad at my son over a toy/doll/collector's item, whatever.

That's true, never thought of it that way about the vintage can have an eye appealing to younger children since I've always thought its the newer generations of toys being made would be my children's preference and now that you brought this up, never thought of it this way. Of course, I was pissed but did not take it out on her like a banshee would but simply stated the fact that its somethiong she shouldn't touch without my permission. Yes my daughter still feel bad about it but what I love her for trying to make me feel better is by trying to offer to buy me a vintage of cobra commander with the helmet as she knew I would love to have him. I think this is funny that every time I get a new joe, may it be a vintage or 25th line, even vintage transformers. She would get startled when I walk into the toy room seeing her holding something she not supposed to have, she then would say that she was trying to prevent junkyard from the carded vintage mutt I have from chewing up the toys. Lol.. I'm a father of 5 children and I try to buy 5 of everything os my children wouldn't fight over anything however mutt and junkyard is still gradeable with a possible 65, maybe 70 and I plan on giving her the graded mutt after I get him graded later on when she get older because this figure has a story to tell invloving her. God! I love all my children!!...Even if they destroyed some of my colelction.
