Thank you.
For some reason my wife got a box of chocolates earlier this month. The good thing was it had a magnetic latch on the flap cover. I repurposed the metal plates and two rare earth magnets for the T tail mounting. Since the tail is finished I will just split open the seam and insert the plate upward. Only about half will be exposed and little should be visible since it will be against the tail boom. Just coated the magnet with epoxy and dropped it in a slot cut into the tail boom. Once all the glue is dry should have a good mount that won't be prone to breaking. Plan to use the other magnet and plate to mount the transmission to the fuselage.

That didn't work. The tail remained mounted but rotated on the magnet. Ground down most of the lip on one of the metal plates that had a recess so it would fit over the magnet on the tail boom. Made an index key from parts of a safety pin, put the second magnet behind the new plate and glued it all together. It works but I had to use both magnets.

Made the red anti smash (collision) lights from the clear parts of a bic mechanical pencil, the opaque red plastic cover from a raisin container and a small piece of round black plastic.
Being away from the project was good. I was looking at the aircraft and besides all the other mistakes something was bothering me. Then I realized the tail rotor was mounted backwards. Since I had to rip it apart to have the blades the correct direction decided to upgrade it to the newer multi-bladed design. The blade mounts still have some work to be done.

Thanks to everyone that has followed this project.
There were times that I thought this would fly across the room. The MFD is a collection of a printed image covered in clear packing tape, a black plastic outlet cover from the bottom of a conference table, craft foam insert on the back (unseen) and two segments of zip ties as mounts to the instrument panel. The pilots are now strapped in with the controls installed. The seat belts are segments of elastic tied around their waist and the free running ends cut off. The pilots have not shifted even when inverted. This is not the final version of the bottom but it is OK. I rearranged the antennas and reinforced the part of the underbelly. With the cockpit as done as I was going to do. Time to start installing the water bottle 'plexiglass" windscreen and chin bubbles. The things left are weathering, IR position lights (glow in the dark), detail the transmission and rotor head.

Kept playing Tetris with with pieces of water bottle. Build up the cockpit frame with layers of paper to cover the seams. The outer part of the frame is two layers (aircraft color) with the interior a single black layer. The plastic is held together with superglue. The superglue haze did form but I polished it down with a Q-tip as best as possible. Besides adds to the weathered look is my excuse. The frame is glued with Elmer's white glue.

Since the Wolf Spider figure is not a pilot made two knee boards.
Each knee board has an E-6B, approach and SID plates, Com Card, Nav Card, airport diagram and a smaller map. The elastic strap keeps the FlIP from becoming FOD. Kept making more F.O. with a checklist... If you can read print that small everything thing is usable. and a couple of maps. Depicted is a modified Australian fold map book. Still working on the map book cover but all the folds work.

Once your map book is completed decorate the cover.
Just like a full size map book this is bound with 100 mile an hour tape. But this is how to have giant maps manageable in a small cockpit. Thanks for following.

Nancy thank you for the encouragement.
Also thanks to everyone who has stopped to take a look at this build. The Rotor Head is the weakest part of this built. Specifically making the hub from foam core poster board. The pitch change links, rotating swash plate and gribbles on the transmission are enough details to make it tolerable. Unless people want a more specific how to for folding the interior of the map book I think this is it for the build. Might eventually circle back for soft goods like the publication bag, first aid kit and two helmet bags. If I find a good cylinder add the fire extinguisher next to the right seat but, yeah... until I do the finished thread.
