After giving up on making my own diorama system for the time being, I got into the Joy Toy Mecha Depot system and love it. So many options and great looks!
Started with the first setup pictured below just for fun and to see how I liked the system. Then got to making a few pieces I felt it lacked for my own setup including some 'chain fence' walls and doors. I intend to use this as my 'photo studio' for future products... I'm sick of throwing together a scene just for a single item or two. 2nd group of pics is the current and nearly final setup. Probably won't add any more levels, but maybe in the future as I grow my portfolio. For the back side, I'm thinking to keep space for a street/alley setup as that will be the other larger theme for my stuff. Oh yeah, and since this is my first actual custom anything in some time, I HAD to add LEDs...over 300 of them. I may redo them eventually, but for now, the method I used was much faster than cutting and resoldering them all to look better. OR, maybe I'll just throw transparent/translucent sheet over them all. Regardless, I'm absolutely thrilled to finally have a setup I can use to showcase my stuff. It's also super fun to play with! As always, comments, suggestions, damnations are more than welcomed. Thanks for looking!! Edit: It was brought to my attention that this isn't really Acid Rain despite the affiliation with Joy Toy. Have asked for the name to be updated. Sorry for any confusion. First setup(This was just for fun and to get used to the Mecha Depot system): New and current setup(structure done, will add a door or two, finish the cage area at the bottom and maybe some spotlights for the repair bay): The floor/ceiling in the bottom has 180 leds alone: I 'might' redo the floor eventually, feel I went a lil too dark: Not sure why, but this is one of my favorite pics:

That looks amazing! I may get some of those to try a setup like yours. Very well done. Love the lights too!

It looks great! The mecha depot stuff is really fun to mess with and it looks awesome with all your added accessories. I think you've actually influenced me to cancel my FDM printer order and order a resin printer instead because your stuff looks great and really all I want to do it print action figure accessories for myself. If you care to share tips, tricks, or resources it would be much appreciated because there is just sooooo much information out there.

Damn, I swear I replied to these comments, apologies, folks! Also, still waiting to hear about getting the thread name changed. Anyone know who I can contact for that these days?
Thanks! It was and still is really fun. Doing a partial teardown soon to add some of my custom wall panels. Lol. Well, I DO tend to run stuff by my buddies as they stop by. One of them tends to get some amazing shots here. Thank you kindly! Thank you! I totally recommend these! I've tried these, Scene-in-a-Box and have seen the Complex system in person and personally, I feel these are the best bang for the buck, plus I've been having a ball making my own add-ons for them.

I absolutely agree about there being so much info. I think I'd first just find some reviews of both types of printers to help see which might fit your needs(at first at least lol), then reviews for the decided type based on your budget and speed/detail/etc requirements. Then once you've bought one, find a good FB group for support. Sometimes you have to go through a couple of those before you find one that is helpful to you for issues/questions. If you have more questions, you can hit me up on Instagram or FB, both should be listed in my signature. Please just let me know your Hisstank name as I've been getting more spam on both of those lately.

Nice job, did you print the computer panels/screens yourself?

Thank you!! The computer was actually something I threw together. The main part is from a Terror Drome with some clear plastic, keyboard from the Joy Toy Mecha Depot sets, leds and pieces of milk carton to diffuse them.
