Cool micro vehicles. In my mind they belong on a large tactical table as part of a battle simulation. Maybe best to alter the VAMP design to have windows. Amazing that the roll at even printed!
Thanks for asking! I don?t personally have the imagination for military diorama parts and accessories like you do, but I can appreciate what you?re building here. It?s amazing to see what people do with 3D printing with GI Joe lately. |

Siraya Tech and Resione make flexible resins. They are more than double the price of regular resin, but have a lot of applications and can be spread out to make them last longer. For instance, with the rollbar on the VAMP, if you mix in about 1 part flexible resin to 5 parts regular resin, it maintains and actually increases the strength of the output. I customize McFarlane 6" football figures and print my own football facemasks. If I use straight resin, I usually end up with breakages just trying to get the masks off the sprues. With the mixture, I can basically tear them off with little worry of any damage, because the flexible resin gives the very thin bars strength and a touch of pull. Obviously, the more flexible resin you use, the better the flexibility. If you go 100% flexible, you would end up with something exactly what you would use to make tires for a Joe vehicle. Think of the material used for a Classified vest.

I have been planning on going with better resin for final projects and have been keeping an eye on prices of Siraga Tech. Much of the web has them at the top of the best of list. Though in the meantime, I have been just using my cheap test resins. Might try a few different mixes when I can restock even. momaw nadon |

I have used Elegoo, Anycubic, some generic resin, Siraya, and the Resione flexible. Since I've started using Siraya, I have not had one misprint at all. I did (multiple times) with all the others (except Resione, which I use as a mixture or for very special projects). What printer are you using?

I have a Phrozen Sonic Mini and working on upgrading to a larger one once I'm able. Most of my designs are on the larger side and don't work well when sliced up to print in sections as should, but this could be my resin also. This black resin I'm currently using is water washable, which I'm not liking at all. Though I find it more flexible than the aqua green I was using before. Then again, with that comes warping and I have to beef up supports much more or print right on the plate.

I use an Anycubic Mono X, and I'm so satisfied I'm about to buy another. The build area is really large (something like 4x8x10). Also, it just dropped in price to around $460, I think. If you're going to use flexible resin with your current printer, be sure to find proper exposure times. I found, for instance with the Mono X, where I can usually do a 2 second per layer exposure with normal resin, you get terrible results with flexible until I started setting it to 7 seconds. My mixture of regular and flexible I set at 2.5 with no issues.

Just a little update as I got around to fitting the handset and antenna with their connectors. Wanted to have that feel of back in the day when Joes accessories attached together with the hoses, which lacks from the modern lines these days. There is four ports on the unit itself, as both the handset & antenna connector are the same.
Also have a simple yet functional little Sci-Fi case. Any comments or questions are welcome. Thanks for looking, momaw nadon |

Scarily, the bots are getting better at wrapping their spam in stuff that looks like legit conversation.
