Thanks Ax. Yes, the original figure had such precisely painted camouflage yet the face just looked off.

I had shown this Zartan previously but never showed the work done to re-articulate him. It wasn't an easy job, nor a perfect result...
Also borrowed a knee joint from ROC Neo-Viper, and attached Zartan's knee pad, dremeled out the tops of Zartan's calf for the "amputee nub" to fit into, greenstuff to ensure a snug fit... The result is rough, and somewhat fragile, with improved (but not perfect) articulation. Final result: |

I posted this one previously. Started it for "Project Quarantine" earlier this year which was a really fun group effort while we had time on our hands, but work was picking up and I never finished him. Originally meant for Battle Corps Shipwreck but I think I'll make him into Torpedo instead when I get around to it, and make another one using the ROC/DG/50th Shipwreck sculpt.

Impressive work, buddy. I may or may not lack the skill, but definitely lack the patience for this kind of conversion work. Nice discipline.

A few more WIPs from older work before I'm done for a while.
Last year I started a series of customs based on concept art, and Bio-Viper Heavy from Massive Black artist Kemp Remillard was the first instalment. Combining parts for this head head made me believe I could start getting a little crazier with my builds... |

I bought a Big Lob in the Club closeout sale because I was curious if he could become Roadbloack. I better finish it before the Walmart Retro exclusive arrives, because then I'm going to have to make a Roadblock all over again. Before painting, I've been meaning to try out Zap's tutorial for re-articulating Roadblack's knees (https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ted-knees.html). Bottom right is "photoshopped" (I use GIMP) to guide my future paint work.
And now I think I'll take a break from posting these. |

Hot damn, that's some clean work. This truly is impressive and inspiring work. I might be tempted to start going down some of these rabbit holes myself.

Thank you kindly Ax. I think you would enjoy it. Rabbit hole is an apt description, and speaking of, I am going down one again and likely won’t come up to post for a while.
