As for that WIP 1:18 raptor pen, I have a family member who now has a 400mm/400mm/400mm FDM printer, which translates to just under 15.75" in each dimension. If I can charm my way into occupying that machine for a few weeks then the creation of a physical version of that pen becomes much more likely. I could possibly do it in about 7-9 pieces on that machine (in terms of the main structure - the railings, wire brackets, and the tower roof would be separate issues). My current printer is closer to 8.5" in each dimension, which would potentially quadruple the part count for the main structure. I am much less likely to tackle it that way.

Thanks!
Man, those scans look nice! How clean is the mesh it produces? That's a pretty hefty investment for that scanner but the results are fantastic. Quote:
Crazy clean. I'll PM you a file link. Those high detail head files are only around 5MB in size. I've added more scans to my Cults3D page (link in signature)

That's awesome. I'd love to see some photos. I don't think I ever got the link to see the head scan file from back in the day either, if you still don't mind letting me see it.

In the meantime, I have my batch of parts finished for this cycle of Skystriker mechanism upgrade requests:

I finally came back to my Abbot-Downing "Concord" style stagecoach project. I just pulled a test print of the main cab off the printer this morning. It fits 4 modern-era figures inside - with hats - while still looking basically correct...which was the big hurdle for me. There is a lot of structural and detail work left to go, but the "big" hard part is over. I had been procrastinating on this part for quite some time.
I will try to post some photos soon. Needed (other than simple aesthetic changes):

Photos for phase 1 of the Abbot-Downing Concord stagecoach project...
Fits 4 guys comfortably with headroom enough for hats: Spare leg room depending on how you want to bend the figures' knees: Some general scale shots: Pretty basic interior details:

Looking good! I'm not sure if you said, but how many pieces is the cab so far? It sounds like you have access to a printer large enough to do it in once piece.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a single piece.
It fits with room to spare on my Ender 3 so hopefully I can make it fit still once I incorporate the front and rear boot and the driver's box. I may have to orient it diagonally at that point but I'm pretty sure it will still work as one single piece. I may make the seat cushions a separate piece eventually just for improvement of the aesthetics. The roof will be a separate removable piece for interior access.
