Part of that leg space suitability will depend on the figure in question. The Airborne bodies I was cramming in there have those big pouches on the calves that make things tighter in there than it might be for other figures. Then again, 30th Ace has his pistol holster on his ankle which would be an issue. What figure mold are you planning to put in there? If I ditch the RIO instrument panel and recline the seats significantly I might be able to avoid any leg removal but that's at the cost of lots of interior detail, figure placement not lining up with canopy sections (pilot ejection would result in death), and a flight crew that would be stuck staring up at the sky. That's not as appealing to me, personally, so I haven't pursued that option to see where it might lead. Quote:

Loving the detail on this. The control panel look real. Shame they didn't give more room to the cockpit so you could easily fit two figs.

I'm working on some Marauder-compatible Halo ODST parts now...
I posted my first pass at the helmet in the MTF thread, but here it is for reference in this thread: I have already up-scaled the helmet a bit from my first attempt (left) and I think the increased size is a step in the right direction: I think the shoulder pads need to be resized a bit as well now, but it's a good start so far. They plug into the existing MTF upper arm ports. Range of motion is still very good at this size, but I think they just look a little too small compared to the source material. Anyway, kneepads, chest armor, and other bits and bobbles are all on the horizon if I can make them work.

Still working on the "bathtub" for the modern-era Skystriker:
I'm adding walls slowly around the outside, printing, testing, adjusting, and then moving further back so I can map out the available interior space. Once I finish doing that all of the way up and back I'm going to fill it up with as much detail as I can, finalize the position/pitch of the seats, and call it a (very long) day. There won't be much else I can do for it. For those of you who have been waiting and waiting for a 2-seater option, is the requirement that you remove your figures' lower legs to fit them in here a deal-breaker? I don't see any practical way around it, but I'm curious if this will even be a desired piece once it's finished. I'd be using one of these figures.

Here is an alternate helmet design (disregard the lingering support material and some slop that I did not have time to clean up this morning):
It's hard to see range of motion with that high collar vest in place, so here it is on a bare MTF trooper body: And a first crack at the torso armor: The fit needs a lot of work still. Thanks! Do you have a torso scan of an MTF figure by any chance?

This is a kind of stringy filament that blemishes fairly easily when removing support material and slop from the print, so be forgiving of the poor finish in some areas...
I increased the scale for the shoulder armor a bit and I think it fits better now: The range of motion does suffer for it, but it's still pretty decent: And you may have noticed the knee pads visible in that last picture. Those are the newest pieces to be printed: Back view: The range of motion on the knees is just like the original knee pieces from MTF: I have sculpted a flashlight for the side of the helmet as well. I think I have a total of 4 variants at the moment but only three were close at hand for photo time:

I tweaked my public restroom elements for printing at home to see how they would turn out. The finish isn't spectacular, but on the whole I'd say it worked reasonably well:
The back side is a little rough, but it doesn't need to be pretty here. These are both wall-mounted units so once you hang them up nobody will see this part anyway: ^^And that hole in the back of the crapper actually connects to the toilet bowl with a gooseneck. You could run water through the toilet and/or leave some in the bowl. Why? Beats me, but it was an easy addition so there it is. Most of the details survived the filament printer: There are some visible print lines, of course, when you make it a point to show them in the photo angles: And, just because... Nice! I'm going to need some of these coming up in the next few months.

I am working on a modern-era Skystriker wing sweep/landing gear mechanism replacement for another 'Tanker. Here's the current state of the model:
The hope is to make a version with independent wing/gear functions for the 30th Anniversary Skystriker like I already have for the vintage Skystriker.
