I don't know about a monthly charge, but what actually got me was their demand to have a copy of my driver's license and to have my social security number. I DO NOT trust eBay to safely keep information that sensitive. Not going to happen, period.

Oh yeah, same boat. I still have a handful of listings from last year that are still live, but I am not a fan of those new requirements and don't see myself signing up to continue to sell on eBay. I'll have no problem buying from there though
