oh you should also do this pistol from Zartan!
https://www.yojoe.com/action/09/zartan16.shtml that is the standard pistol used by a lot of characters throughout the cartoon With that said, a 3-pack of the rifle is now live on Shapeways. It's available in gray, black, or a frosted material (this frosted material is the highest fidelity material available, but it will require painting). 1:12 Scale Laser Rifle (3-pack) |

I am working on the Radio Intercept Officer's instrument panel for the Skystriker F-14D upgraded seats I am preparing. So many buttons and dials...but I found a good diagram source for these so they are pretty accurate overall. There is plenty more work to do, but here is where it stands presently:
I will be modeling the specific type ejector seats from the F-14D as well, and attaching the RIO station to the back of the pilot's seat. More to come...

I'll have to see how popular these custom weapons end up being, but if they catch on enough to make more models seem like a good idea then that's a good candidate.

These are very cheap to print but they are a corporate and have a lot of people, website etc to maintain therefore the cost.

The only solution is to buy a LOT of stuff at once to spread the shipping costs around. I say this with NO self-interest whatsoever...

As for their costs...well... It's not so much their operating costs that are behind it. They have investors pushing for better return on their investment and I'm pretty certain they mean to fundamentally change their business model away from what it originally was. I can explain what I mean by that if anyone is interested but the point is that I believe my Shapeways shop is on borrowed time.

Yep, I'm already doing that for some stuff (Mauler parts and Skystriker parts). There are limitations to doing things with FDM that I can't overcome, but a lot of things are basically home-printable. It's just a lot more work printing, packing, and shipping for myself.
