I saw a set of REAL HEROES today at TRU, and two guys had orange vests with a bunch of knicknacks on them, but they might have been ok.

For the "B" on the hat, rather than freehand painting, I'd recommend water slide decals. Just shrink down the appropriate picture to scale, and follow the instructions for application.
My recommendation after the official instructions, is to put a small touch of matte glue below any curled up corners before pushing them down, then brush on a coat of glue over the top of the decal and hat. This will harden the film and make it more play worthy. The only other thing I sometimes have to do is lightly touch up the decal with paint before using the glue. Sometimes, especially on dark surfaces, the water slide colors lose their sharpness. But even though this sounds like a lot of work, it's a much better overall look than can be made with just painting a B. |
