Thanks for the kind words and the bump on the other thread. This looks like a monster project. As you can tell I'm partial to the Bruder stuff. The cabs seem a bit big but the trailers and other equipment are really spot on, especially if you are mixing different toy lines. What I did with the Bruder cab is to make a raised gunners seat in the back that fills in all of the unused space behind the driver. Sometime after I took all my pictures I put a plate with view ports over the front window. Both help with the scale issue. Hope that helps. Good luck on your project.

Mock-up of the day. Winch mount created for the front. This really helps the smaller scale of the cab to the chassis. Winch for just behind the cab. Grey post will mount a boom crane that will rotate to rest against the cab. This had to be done as every photo or model of a dragon wagon has one. Oh, and the rear window was cut out. The other side needs to be done.

Not much has changed. Planning the trailer for the M1A1. This will be scratch built from pvc fence scraps and use the 3 axles and wheels from the original chap mei dragon wagon.
The tank needs a hatch fixed and I plan to make a driver's hatch in the lower hull. Possibly a pair like the Mauler. Anyone done this? Everything will be sprayed olive drab. |

This is turning out real nice! I'm no expert customizer in any sense! My one critique is that you add some styrene or something around the front driver's side & passengers side wheel wall; so that there isn't a big gap between the wheel walls and the tires!
