Since the project is finally a go, I can share my build photos of my contribution to the Support Squad Charity Event. I was approached by a fellow member of Mayhem about doing a troop carrier for the project. Of course I was eager to try something new, and immediately was on board. I received the PTE/ World Peacekeepers AFV from fellow forum member grimdizel. I started with disassembly and then moved on to customizing. I was not impressed by the original wheels/ tires that came on the vehicle. I opted for a custom fitment of 1:18 scale ECX Torment wheels from my local hobby shop. I used a combination of threaded rod and styrene tube with spacers to line up and and make the wheels functional. I then used .060 strip styrene to cover the threaded rod and give the wheels a more realistic appearance. I also was unsatisfied by the main gun. Since this was going to be a Mayhem vehicle, it needed significant firepower to back up the troops it would be hauling. I used the main gun from a Retaliation HISS, and made custom spacers cut from .080 styrene and glued to the main chassis. I then drilled holes onto the turret to mount the smoke launchers previously found on the turret. Feeling that the turret let the gunner rather exposed, I build a door using a combination of .060 & .080, styrene to make a functioning door.As far as looks go, I left the APC relatively unchanged, other than sanding down the stupid wood saw that was molded into the side. I simply covered it up with a few strips of styrene. I then added a few backpacks from some leftover Kwinns and put 2 jerry cans on the back. Here are some pics of the initial build

This thing is badass and having it in hand is sweet until some one wins it.
