Thanks for clarifying it. What would you rate the bridge and engine room out of 10 from what you remember? |

Man you were so lucky, I was too into Joe and didn't care for TNG as a series (I like the original more) so I never knew about TNG toys. You were lucky to have them.
Thanks for clarifying it. What would you rate the bridge and engine room out of 10 from what you remember? The bridge was a eight-point-five out of ten. All of the stations were there, you had plenty of space for the figures, the viewscreen lit up and you had some nice lights and sounds. Hurting it, however, was the fact that the walls were held together with clips on top that were easily lost (all of mine are gone), plus the lights and sounds ate up batteries if you neglected to switch it off and the viewscreen was locked on the image of a Romulan Warbird. The engineering set was an eight out of ten. Compatibility with the bridge was a plus, and there was a door in the reactor where you could put a small dilithium crystal (other figures came with larger ones). Also, it's lights and sounds didn't drain the batteries nearly as much as those on the bridge. My only big problem was that it was fairly compact in comparison. Generally good playsets, both of them. Makes me wish Playmates had done more - I ended up having to build versions of Ten Forward and Voyager's bridge out of cardboard boxes. |

Amazingly, I'm the opposite - I was big into Star Trek toys as a kid and only recently started getting Joes. I only stopped buying them after a number of factors - seriously getting into Transformers being one, the reduction in joints being another, the third and final being the move towards a larger size. I'm starting to think that the factors that hurt Playmates' Star Trek figures from the nineties are hurting Joes now, along with other things. As for rating the sets?
