Hi All,
I have been scratch building some AT vehicles for a comp over at the imperialshipyards.net for their bday in October. I was never into Joe figures/vehicles until this upcoming comp and now I'm hooked especially for the AT. I decided that the AT was a great way to start getting into GI JOE especially having the 12" figures/vehicles and equipment when I was a kid. So I decided that I would scratch build the 6 wheeler and chopper. The 6 wheeler has a 1/35 scale Sherman Tank lower hull and six wheels from some $5 kids tractors. The rest of the vehicle body was done using plasticard from evergreen, the winch is made from parts from 1/35 and 1/72 and plasticard and can be used. Hi All,
The second AT scratch build is the chopper which has been completely made using plasticard except the control panel and stick which are from a Corps Chopper and the blades which are from a 1/72 scale chinook. I haven't completed the chopper yet I still need to added support struts to the tail section and do some sanding. Ron |

Hi All,
I took two quick pics of both vehicles, for those people that know my work I like to make my figures and vehicles dirty and gritty like real life. I have a little weathering to do on both and also to add the AT logo to the chopper. My other passion is dioramas so the six wheeler is going to have a dio/playset and as you can see from the pic the crack in the dio is where the mummys tomb is so you can lift that small section off. The chopper dio is under contruction so I just used another base that is for another AT figure. Ron Last edited by hemblecreations; 09-20-2013 at 07:30 PM.. |
