hi , i take this pic from another tanker review
im planning on do this idea , i want to cut this part of the vehicle , and the cutted piece make it a slide door , i see on the concept pics that have some room on the body of tha plane can this be possible , u think might work ?? what kind of tool should i use to cut te plastic thanks |

It's in a bad spot. You can't make a sliding door as nowhere for it to slide. Hinging it would look odd. A "gull wing" won't work with the wings attached. It might work best f you pop it in and out - but that means you need some tight and straight cuts getting that panel out.

I just wish they made a ramp on the back instead of that trapdoor thing. I'll probably have a look at my Quinjet when I get home and see if that rear door is potentially the same size as the back and then I can just cut out the whole back piece completely and the figures can then load from the rear.

It would be alot of work but you might be able to hinge it at the top and bottom as two separate doors.

Best bet would be to just make it into a ramp where it hinge opens downward.

Welcome to the wonderful world of plastics fabrication. Below is a link to my thread on the basics of scratchbuilding in styrene plastic. Though bear in mind, the toy is most likely made from ABS and you'll either need to buy ABS sheet or use a welder like Plastruct Plastic Weld to join styrene to ABS...
