Thanks. I got a bit done today.
Made the floor of the cockpit and the seatback. I hit a tiny snag in that Ace(Wearing his helmet), is too tall for me to make a seat with a seat squab. To i am simplay making a floor piece with the squab on it, and a seat back that will attach to the floor. Every other figure sits low in toe cockpit but Ace, with all his attached webbing(And the height of his helmet), means he would not fit in other wise. I KNOW for sure that if i simply made the seats as i was originally going to, it would fit 99% of figures, but everyone would moan that Ace wouldn't fit, lol! Anyway. I also realised today that if you take the rear stabilisers, dremel off the location tabs that make them sided, and put them on the opposite way, the tails can now be closer to vertical as they should be. While i was working, i was looking that that thing on the tail. It might be supposed to be an airbrake or a drag chute hatch or something. I got rid of it. I haven't seen that on any Tomcats in my reference folder. The other thing i did today was to lengthen the wing roots, and they exit the rear of the jet. As i had altered the swing of the wings earlier there was a little gap. That gap is now filled. Enjoy! |

Can't wait to see the finished product. I don't have the time or skill to all that you've done, but I would love to do that. If you do make the cockpit kits, please let me know as I like how you fixed the problem of the tab going into the cockpit.
For me, Jolly Rogers is my favourite and that's what i would go for if I were to do something like what you are doing.

I love the Jolly Rogers, but for something different you could go with the VF-101 Grim Reapers
File:Vf-101 grim reapers tomcat tail.jpg - Wikimedia Commons or if you want Cobra the VF-102 Diamondbacks http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...omcat_tail.jpg |

Holy hell!
Damn man, you're showing your regular amazing attention to detail yet again on this puppy. This is definitely shaping up to be anything but "yet another custom Skystriker", by far. |

It actually is the air brake, however its in a partially up position mainly in the vintage version because thats where the tail hook attachment went that came with the flagg. Why they put this on the 30th one i dont know as the tail hook doesnt seem to fit it, at least not as well as it does on the vintage. but looks good man. Keep it up. Im sure it will be super great and we will all want one lol.

Great work. Thanks for posting as this will make it easier for others, including me, who will be modding their Skystrikers...
