I was commissioned by fellow tanker sbartek1974 to do an update Toll Booth Sledge hammer. I am basing this off a 20 lb sledge at 1/18 scale.
Here is the prelim shape. There is still a ton of shaping to do but it is coming along nicely. Here is the vintage one from 1985 |

So I hated the way the first one was looking and scrapped it. Here is the new one from the ground up.

Nice work! So this is basically different from the Shock Trooper sledge because the handle is uniform in thickness, right?

I have a ST hammer and considered using it. But after seeing the Road Pig cinderblock he did for me, the ST hammer just didn't live up to that standard. So besides using the all gray original Toolbooth hammer or the all black ST hammer, I was wanting something to look alot more realistic. Like the sledgehammers we use here at work.

I am just about done with the detailing work. All axes have a wide nail in the top to hold the head on the handle and I tried to create that look in these photos.
