Apart from the amazing 30th anni figs shown and the Techno Viper, Zarana...etc...I must say that these new figures since POC are the best detailed figures ever.
I went on Toyark and saw the New MU, Captain America and Thor figures and the sculpts are insanely well detailed. as a customiser, I think this will be epic. What do you think? I know for sure that one of the Thor Sculpts will possibly be a RnR and like echosolo posted, we have a new CHuckles fix. Have you any ideas already?

I just fell in love all over again. Also, I peed my pants a little when I saw that Zarana...
As for customizing, Hasbro is taking a lot of the work out of it for me: Zarana custom = AXED. I could never top that. Crazylegs = AXED. So much for all the parts I had lined up :( Sci-Fi = AXED. Second verse, same as the first. Techno Viper = approved. Don't have any parts lined up for him yet, so I welcome him with open arms Actually, I welcome all of them with open arms. I'm sure that I can find a use for those parts somehow... |

For Crazy Legs, I'm gonna get him just for the upper half. Same recipe as mine and will avoid paint chipping and the joints. I'm gonna change the head and legs though...Snow Serpent legs? I dont know what they thought on that.

Same here. I started making customs to fill holes in my collection with characters that Hasbro had not made or to replace/improve upon characters that Hasbro made poorly. If I'm able to get an SDCC Zarana, she will replace the custom one in my collection. The custom Sci-Fi I had been planning is now scrapped - I'll just wait for Hasbro's version. Same applies to Techno-Viper and Rock Viper. What this means to me is that while I happily wait for these awesome figures, I can turn my custom attention to other characters that aren't yet being made.

Yeah they have given me some ideas... and Im already thinking about kitbashing a Stalker based on what they did but with better legs. Same for Crazy Legs I hate the legs they used.
I just wish to High ODIN that they would NOT have made Zarana such a limited run figure. I want several of those for customs.. I hope somebody makes a cast of that body for the rest of us. I agree with you though that this looks to be an awesome year for making customs.

(POC or Fury one now being my new ones) My Staker custom, Scrapped My Sgt Slaughter custom...well still kept that one and kept my SDCC one MOC...lol Im gonna stick to modifying my figs so theyre great, but Dont think I'll redo existing characters...Now if they release a New awesome Gung-Ho, Leatherneck and footloose...ill have to scrap those too! dunno why they didn't go ahead and make the poc blowtorch in full on concept art colors, but it'll be easy to fix, i'm excited about that.

I think we're going to see some sick Spearheads with that Hawk figure.

I pretty much only customize vehicles so there's nothing new to work with. But I'm sure others will be repainting that 6-wheeled Captain America tank.
As far as figures go, I want an all white Sci-Fi (about 3 or 4 would be nice). That's the ultimate Star Brigade space trooper figure. I'd like an army of them but repainting them all white is too much trouble. And I'm still working on my Blackstar squadron. Last edited by Steelgrave; 02-13-2011 at 01:03 PM.. |
