Ive done crankcase arms, I needed them for someone......buffer that I have in the works. the peg of the elbow is enormous but his wrists are pretty normal. just just slow and stead preasure. I ran the parts under hot water nd it softened them but it was still hard and I had sore fingers after. good luck.

That's what I thought but reading through the info in this pic, I may have been mistaken.
It says to pry apart the arm at the joint, I thought they meant that the arm had to be split like you have to do with the torso. But after reading it again, I think you guys are on the right track with the hot water and slow steady pressure. |

I always use boiling water, because if you put a figure in there for about a minute, or so, the figure becomes really easy to pop apart. At least with Star Wars figures that is the case. I can't imagine it being much different with GI Joe, unless they use hard plastic instead of soft, but if that was the case their sheet wouldn't recommend boiling either.
From the looks of it, actually, the torsos are hard, and the arms/lower legs are soft. |
