Some of you have asked so here is how to "fix" the Duke style arms so they can use a gun the right way. Keep in mind this is on Rock N Roll and I'm doing this just to give the idea of how to do so. I would have trimmed a little more but don't know how far to go until I get my new M-60 from Marauder_John.
What you need Figure with "Duke style" arms X-acto knife small pot water stove tongs to get figure out of hot water Here is what the figure starts off looking like. arms are useless........ can't do much he does try to use his gun but just can't seem to hold it right. Note the M-16 from Marauder_John (shameless plug but the guy does rock) |

Fill pot with water, place figure in and boil. Do not leave him in there too long. It takes less than a minute. Any longer and you put the figure at risk.
note... take off everything that you can take off... helmet, web gear, knife or side arm... I kind of forgot to do it this time. Oops... no harm done but it isn't a good idea. take figure out of water with tongs and pop off lower arms while the figure is still warm be very careful not to burn yourself. It doesn't take long to warm the figure up long enough to pop the arms off but it can still be a little warm.

Next take the x-acto knife and place the blade in the middle of the lower arm. Be sure you do this so it is lined up in the center and the blade is level and lined up with the part that connects the arm to the shoulder.
I had to show this with one hand because I was using the other to take the picture. Be sure it is lined up straight. Cut to the part that is solid where the peg goes in. It isn't deep but still be careful that you don't cut too much. |

After your next cut the bottom part of the upper arm should look like this.
you may need to trim a bit more but I did not yet because I still want to see how things fit with the before mentioned Marauder's M-60 (another shameless plug) Do the same to the other arm and pop both arms back in place. you may need to heat the figure back up again to do this. |

I hope this helps. |

Great fix man! I maybe try that with a fooder figure. I'm too afraid to try that actually with my Flint & Duke action figures.

I tried it on my 'spare' Duke from the TRU 3 pack, then wound up making the same change to all my figures with Duke arms. I actually went a little too far on Breaker, but the rest of the figs look great and can actually properly hold a weapon now.

well Flint you can just use another set of hands on him and he works out well with his shotgun. Duke is easy enough to find right now that if you mess up then you can just get another one. It is real easy to do and hard to mess up. I've done it quite a few times and have yet to mess things up

I've been trimming all my 25th figures. I just trim the parts in place with a sharp exacto knife and its been working great.

I just filed down the rolled up part of the lower arm. No cutting required and it still looks like it did when I took him out of package. Didn't think of doing it this way... guess sanding is my idea of a quick fix. (Although it's not so quick. LOL)
