Ok folks it's been a long time since I've been on this site and I need some help from all the creative minds out there! I am wanting to undertake a massive project of creating a scale sized diorama for display that will include scale sized scenery and some hopefully inventive scenes to display my Joes. I have some scene ideas played out in my head but I need help on how to create the actual diorama. If someone could suggest some kind of "How To" manual or book that I can pick up and learn how to do this I would appreciate it. I wish that I could say there would be some immediate results but I want this to be near perfect so I need to start learning how to do this now so that it doesn't take the rest of my life to complete!! lol Hope to hear some great ideas from all the superb custom creators and brilliant Joe minds out there!!

Go to a hobby shop, or a barnes & noble will have either model train or hobby magazines that can teach you the basics. How you impliment that knowledge is up to you. It can give you lots of great ideas for inspiration.
If you tell us more about what you are thinking of doing, then some of the guys here may save you a lot of trouble since many of them have done it before. Last edited by VideoViper; 08-17-2010 at 12:06 PM.. |

Start small, build your way up to perfection. Some projects come out better then others. The best thing is to have fun while building it.
