Did anyone ever get around to making a tutorial on introducing oneself to creating custom transformers?
I'd love to make some transforming vehicles for my Joes and Cobras.

I had a question posted in the last Custom Tutorial thread.
I was asking if there was a way to tighten the torso joint on figures that have had their torso split to swap arms, etc. The ones I've done are really loose now. I'm refering the joint between the upper and lower torso. I havent actually glued them back together yet but even when I'm pressing them together tightly, they are really loose. Is there something I should before I glue them back together or would the simple act of glueing them together actually tighten that joint? |

are the upper and lower from the same torso?
sometimes when i crack a torso I loose the little cap from the lower parts peg and have to either find another or sculpt it on to tighten it up. BTW your parts are on the way. |

The torsos are from the same figures and I made sure I kept the little caps when I cracked them open. I was wondering if its due to the heat from the boiling procedure I used to crack them open.

probably from the heat then, only other thing I can think of is if your using different upper arms they might be a tad too big for the torso and not allowing the bottom of the torso to completely close. either way I'd just slap some greenstuff or apoxie in their to tighten it up. |

I'll have to check out the arms, it seems to be a tight fit on the torsos but maybe it's not entirely. If not the arms, I'll add some epoxy inside to try to tighten up that joint. Thanks for the info!

Can someone help me with water slide labels? I purchases both white and clear ones from amazon. I've printed the clear ones on a label printer and they work out fine. Then I realized that you can't print white or whitish labels on clear. That's why I bought the white sheets. I made a RESCUE sticker on white, surrounded by red with the white from the paper itself. Now here is the problem....the labels dissolve in my hands when peel from the backing. The ink itself runs. I'v applied the Drying Solution before peeling with the same result. I've never had this problem with the clear ones. Can anyone enlighten me on how to finally get this done?

i would say crazy glue...but dont give it time to set up. Use a few drops wait a couple of seconds and then slowly keep the joint in motion until the glue dries, i havent done this with ankles but it has worked for me for elbows and necks
