Seeing how Daremo fixed the sword for his SE to make it more 'toon' acurate, I decided to try a fix as well. But unlike Daremo's, mine isn't scratch built, but rather I just cut down SE's original sword & sheath.

On the sheath, did you just cut it off at the base, shorten it and glue it back? Was it pretty easy? I only have 1 CS SE and would hate to eff it up but that looks much better.

Yeah, cut the sheath at the base and sized it to the blade and reglued it. The blade was cut at the base, shortened and reglued, after I trimmed away the handle guard.

It's not accurate to how it is in the Resolute cartoon. The figure's sword is too long where as in the toon, it's shorter.

I like a fully enclosed scabbard but that works too. Nice and easy.
I did the same thing to the sword but decided that I liked the custom one better. I didn't want to worry about the sword or scabbard breaking apart. |
