Hi all,
I just purchased some Testor's ELO and want to use it to remove paint and camo from some Marauder's Task Force parts. Typically, how long do the parts need to soak in ELO before the paint begins to strip? I've had some test parts in for a couple of hours now, and the paint doesn't seem to be budging at all. |

I've never used that product. I also have never tried removing paint from a Marauder figure, but with Hasbro figures I usually start with 90% Isopropyl on a rag and try wiping off the paint. If that doesn't work I move on to Goof-Off but that eats through the plastic so you have to work quickly. My last resort is soaking in Simple Green because it will not damage plastic and can soak for days till the paint softens.
Here is a thread about removing paint from plastic models with more recommendations. Effective Paint/Decal Stripper - Model Building Questions and Answers - Model Cars Magazine Forum
