So I recently picked up a 92 Barracuda and I'm trying to take it 100% apart to make sure it gets a thorough scrub and cleaning. It was fairly easy to disassemble except for the top. It looks like I should be able to just pull it apart, but it's not budging.
Am I missing something or should I pull harder? Does anyone know if this part was glued together and not just held together with friction? Before I start to get "aggressive" with it I thought I would ask around.

The part where you put the figure? The top comes off, it's got tabs, rounded from what I recall. I think getting one end free works best. If I have the toy it's buried too deep to find.
Of course it's possible some one did glue it. |

No like the part you are talking about taking off. It's the part with the gun attached. I want to pop it in 2. if you look it looks like you can pull it apart, but may not be worth the effort. This toy is 100% filthy and I was trying to disassemble anything I could to make sure it gets cleaned and scrubbed.

It's also possible that residue from the tablet has caused it to become stuck. I'd recommend soaking it in hot water and then trying to pull it apart.

I recently put together the 2000 version of the Barracuda (the Man O' War) and I believe the top is only three parts - the piece with the missile launcher is solid and I installed the antenna and periscope pieces. Is the whole top cover not coming off the sub's body?

It shows posts and says to snap into place. What's snapping is the question, I guess. Anytime you try to disassemble something that wasn't made to be, there's a risk of breaking it.

Ah yea it does come in two pieces (or at least it did with the Man O' War) The hull top has two posts that go into two holes on the bottom - that is how it is connected. Looks like Sean_C beat me to the punch!

So I couldn't get the "bridge" separated. There's a cable looking thing that crosses that seam (it connects the "bridge" to the spring loaded gun) that I'm wondering is what is holding it together.
