Someone is going to say "Do a search"... which is fair.
I have now timed out the search feature on this forum without finding anything and am losing patience. Forgive me, please. Anybody got a quick and dirty method for getting newer butterfly joints back in the torso? When I popped Flint's arms, and inadvertently one shoulder, the b-joint had a small pin going up and a small pin going down, practically a wee axle. Newer ones just have a large peg going down and I just pulled my second one by accident and there isn't anywhere to conveniently squeeze against with enough force... no place opposite the peg... I'm going to have to split the torso aren't I? When it happened with Lady Jaye I wound up trimming the taper of the peg down and shoving it in there and it fits tightly enough to stay (for shelf purposes anyway)... so I might do that, but I hate hacking at parts just to cover my own ineptitude. |

The "cup" being the butterfly itself? Or the part of the torso it pegs into?

The butterfly itself. Then, once seated, let it cool enough that it doesn't dislodge when you put the arm in, but not so much that the peg on the shoulder whitelines trying to push it through. Admittedly, the timing's a pain in the ass, but once you get it down, it's easy.
