I just got back into customizing after a 20ish year hiatus this past year and have only started posting my work here on the Tank in the past 6 months or so.
Before posting anything, I looked at how others shared their work and reviewed the mod-provided guidelines and it seemed that best practice was to establish a thread dedicated to your customs and add to that thread as you create new work. Since then, though, I fee like I've seen more people creating new threads for each custom they create. Which is cool. I guess I'm just wondering what the current sense of best practices is when it comes to posting new customs. Do you add to an existing omnibus thread or do you create an entirely new thread for each custom you post?

I put everything in my Best of the 80s thread since my custom project is to make all of the great 80s properties in scale with modern 4 inch GI Joes. When I finish a complete team like M.A.S.K. or C.O.P.S. I like to give them their own thread. Some people don't click in huge custom threads but will click on a single one that they clearly know what they will be looking at. I also just like to give them their own thread as a sense of accomplishment when I finish a whole group.
That's just me though. I'm sure others have reasons why they post in a large thread and then in an individual one as well.

For me it’s comes down to volume, personally I don’t foresee me pumping out a lot of customs, maybe 3 or 4 a year, so I don’t see the need to have an all in one thread for myself. That said I do appreciate the all in one thread for viewing. It’s nice to spend some time going through those and seeing all the great customs one after another. I also really like seeing the growth of talent from the 1st custom to the last. And if it’s a larger group type project your working on then a group thread keeps it tidy and shows off the scope of work and thought that went into it.
