I am interested in commissioning someone to build some hangers for my jets as I construct an airbase diorama. Unfortunately I don't think I have the ability to do the project justice so I am seeking to commission someone to do this for me.
I am in the UK so would need to consider shipping issues if abroad. But, is there anyone out there that is interested and can show me some examples of their work etc? Would be great to hear from you |

Depending on what you're looking for in terms of durability, I might be able to work something out for you. Most of the examples I have here are very simplistic (I made them quick and easy to ship, so they're not really representative of my best work):https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...-decision.html

Of course cost is going to be an issue but I do want them to be durable perhaps out of hard card or foam board Last edited by Highlander; 11-17-2023 at 08:27 PM.. |

I tend to work with wood, but I know a wood build like that would be an arm and a leg to ship even here in the states, much less overseas. Foamboarm and styrene would probably be the best bet, and truthfully, the most "fragile' material I'd be willing to work with- I pride myself on my projects being able to withstand some abuse.
I can totally pull those off, though without any of those vehicles in hand, I'd be relying on you to get appropriate dimensions and such. 8 of varying sizes wouldn't be an issue at all, although I would recommend committing to a "test run" of just one, just to make sure you're happy with the work. There would be a couple of caveats, though: It wouldn't be a "fast build"; quality takes time. Also, while I could reasonably guess-timate the shipping costs up front, that number may change when I actually go to drop it off (sort of a given, considering they don't exist yet). If you're interested, feel free to figure out your budget, get some rough dimensions together, and drop me a PM to hash out all of the details.
