So I tried out my first soak n' swap..I meant to swap the Classified Snake Eyes legs with the ones from the Snake Eyes Origin movie. Now that the plastic has cooled down the legs are insanely loose and wobbly, and I can't figure it out. I also noticed the movie Classifieds have a different ball and socket shape for the neck and head..this sucks!

I am not sure what my limits are with the warm water trick but I would like to try swapping lower arms/knees at some point. |

I thought I could just use a half priced Flint to make a custom via head swap and learned recently the neck ball peg is significantly smaller than Marvel Legends and the V1 Storm Shadow neck ball peg is even smaller.
I wish someone would ask the Hasbro team what's with that, especially considering GI Joe's history of parts mash ups for customs. |

Yeah, all my Joe customs using ML heads require customization.
I had to drill the socket on this ML head fit onto BBQ. I needed to add material to the socket of the movie Storm Shadow head to fit the Amazon exclusive SS head.

What kind of material to the socket?
I was wondering if a couple layers of old t-shirt scrap would do. Or a thin layer of rubbery plastic in a "+" shape. |

Yeah, could anyone recommend a good way to customize heads that don't fit the normal ball and socket necks?

I had some extra plastic shavings from when I hollow out helmets or just other mods I do. I just cut a small piece and jam it in there. That's why I save all the shavings from soft plastics that I cut out for my customs.

Is there something like a Gunpla polycap to put on a neck ball peg to beef it up to fit those 3D printed heads or ML heads intended for slightly bigger pegs? I feel like the 3D printed resin might get too scraped up in the hole or crumble apart.

I used to use a hot glue gun to fill in the gap, I use InstaMorph now. Same basic idea.
