With the Classified figures it will probably will have to be built to the individual figure. Female figures aren't an issue just the male ones.

Here is where I cut the cross section off the Slider Bar. I retained the little partition on the inside. Didn't have a saw but just used the blade and cleaned up the ends with a fine nail file to knock down the edges.

The glare shield of the 4" cockpit could fit over the one for the "6 inchers" Hope that the resolution wasn't messed up when I loaded this. Now just need a color laser printer and water slide paper. Has anyone used Office Max or Office Depot print color services and supplied them with the paper? Need to know if they can print white. The only home printer that I know of is the old Alps that has been long gone.

Great posts with all those pics.
Looks too complicated for me to risk F'ing it up. I just saw an Ironken3000 vid showing what to cut without taking everything apart. Does look like a twin engine Galactica fighter. |

I can understand the concern about ruining a project just based on money wasted. Just watched the video and the internals are not complex. The two "horns" on the left and right side of dark gray slider press against an inclined plane on each of the opening side panels. The only way I see to screw it up is to install the slider upside down, that is not physically possible, cut the horns off, or not reinstall the slider. Yes, There are two areas reasons of concern. The way the canopy is held by that small clip. I wouldn't click it back in place. slide the latch back each time to reduce wear and tear on the tab. Yet, that has nothing to do with disassembly. My only worry is removing that wing that is already on. Thankfully was able to remove one of the two stress marks with hot water and reduced the size of the other. I read about people using lighters and heatguns to remove stress marks but good old boiling water did the trick. The rivets are not needed. The top and bottom don't need to be held in compression by them. The screws are enough to hold it together. Grind, cut, solder? (doesn't need to be that hot) remove them as you see fit as long as the wing can slide on. Just soften the plastic enough to push the rivets out. I was extra delicate removing them since I didn't know what the internals were like and didn't have the proper tools. Now I was concerned that the insides were nothing but springs that were going to fly all over the place. That was not the case. I am more concerned about finishing it and then having to pack it up for shipping. Removing the unnecessary stuff frees up so much space inside. Not just a second figure but there is lots of space in back for electronics.

Test printed the decals using a non-color laser printer on typing paper and taped them down.
Going to make NASA on the vertical fins and GI Joe on the engines smaller. Increase the size of USAF, the roundel on the wings and the two crests either side of the nose. Still need to make a display for the FMS, radio, first aid kit and decide if I am going to use the stock panel or build one up. Guess I should make decals for the stock panel anyway. Seems rude to offer up a livery for the exterior and not do the cockpit. Edit: Removed the Star Command crest and Xl-15 from each wing using 1500 grit sandpaper.

It is clear that I am going with a ...
and was disappointed that Dark Voyager didn't fit with his helmet. I ordered the Hasbro Fortnite Astronauts, greatly discounted. [Rant] If Classified and Legends are going to the same packaging as the Hasbro Fortnite figures that is horrible. [/Rant] They too will not fit with their helmets on. He doesn't fit well but does fit with whiplash. Looks like he has a severed head. She fits but with the Biker Scout armor belt her hips are wider than his. She has slightly larger hands than he does!!!???? This really feels like a government project now. At first, I thought they were the same hands but No. Perhaps the hands were swapped at the factory. NO! Their hands have different pegs.

Astronaut Scarlett resulted in an increase for inclusion and diversity in the Night Stalkers team.

For those that wanted to see the two seat cockpit for smaller figures. Just as was postulated, removable and with electronics.
