Good afternoon!
I've been lurking on here for some time now since starting a semi-hobby of collecting vintage vehicles by year. I've been working on 1983 and recently purchased an unassembled 2000 Locust, which I would like to paint over in dragonfly colors. I've been searching for users who have tried this and can't find them. I am not a modeler or painter. I have read through various customs hints on here and I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with using Tamiya spray paint instead of investing in an airbrush kit, which I'm not really ready to do. I'm wondering about advice, suggestions, or warnings you might have that would help me in this project and keep me from ruining it right out of the gate. I also am trying to keep my investment and time fairly low since I'm convinced they will come out with a Wal*Mart retro release of this as soon as doing so will make me feel ridiculous for spending time or money on a vintage XH-1. Any help, hints, or hindrances you can offer would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! brd |
