What is the steps to whiten a figure? Just dip it in hydrogen peroxide for a bit?

In a nutshell, yes. You'll want the cream stuff they use for hair for the best results though, not the first aid liquid. You basically paint it on the areas you want to whiten, place it in a plastic bag, and put it in the sun. There are a few drawbacks, one of which is that it'll dull the plastic, so if you care about that, you'll need plastic polish. Also, avoid any paint, it'll fade it.
Some people also use Retr0bright- I have not. Lastly, and most importantly, it's a temporary fix, as the yellowing is actually the plastic itself degrading. More specifically, it's caused by bromine flame retardant that is actually separating from the plastic. No matter what you do, the yellowing will come back.

There really is no point then? Cutting my collection in half and have some yellowing storm shadows. I was thinking about selling them but was going to "fix" them first but if it isn't permanent then Ill just let them go as is. Thanks for the help.

I have also used a mix of normal peroxide and Oxy Clean. That worked better for me than the stronger peroxide cream.
