I'm pretty sure this is the right section. I was wondering about the 3.75" Lt Uhura from the playmates Star Trek line. I've seen her head used in some customs and I have one in mind it would be perfect for. Is her head compatible with the 25th/RoC line or does it need a a lot of modification?

Actually I'm using a Golden Compass head that I repainted for shooter. I'm thinking I might update the unproduced african american female/Carla Greer figure with Lt Uhura. I was looking at some of the other 3.75" Star figures tonight and their heads didn't look compatible

What do you mean "compatible"? Either way, you can always make it work!
It's always easier to remove a neck than add one to a head that doesn't have it, but both things are possible. |

Oh, are you worried it'll be loose or won't fit? Same deal, either use a dentist's burr to make the cavity larger or stuff some Apoxie/whatever in there for a sure fit.

The Star Trek figures are a swivel joint, not a ball joint at the neck. It's a really soft plastic and you'd be able to cut off the post with an X-Acto and then go in to make the cavity using a dentist's burr just like DrNightmare said.
