This thread is for us to laugh, Polk fun, revisit our past work and see how far we’ve come.
Morning Tankers, I was sitting here in the lab looking at what I created , and began comparing my old shit to my new work. The I started thinking I bet every customizer , hobbyist, and kitbasher has looked at their old work and thought “what the fuck was I thinking?” haha. I know a lot of you have came a long way since beginning your journey so let’s share a past and present photo. Maybe a summary as to when it clicked for you? I’ll begin. Lol. It’s bad bros. I began customs a year and some change ago, So this “Storm shadow” was one of my first “customs” lol. It’s bad haha. I knew I wanted details, real gear, and homage paid, but I just don’t think it really expressed my imagination to the level I wanted: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr When it clicked for me was when I stopped trying to recreate spitting images. When I said fuck the normal path “way”. And just followed alongside my imagination. It’s when it clicked for me. Now I look at my new work and I’m ashamed of my old Here current Storm Shadow Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr How about you all?

I hate that your “bad” customs are better than my good customs.

Your early work is still damn good compared to mine. Here are two very early customs from the 25th line. Crazylegs. Has changed heads a few times but you get the idea. I did these both long before thier 30th / PoC release. I think the Techno viper has been unchanged since.

Dude those look wicked. Especially that techno viper. Did you mold some of those parts? What do you feel you learn from then to now?

Yeah, I think that CR and Techno look pretty good, especially given they’re 25th parts.
I’ve mostly overwritten a lot of my early work, but I’d you check out the SW link in my Hub, those are literally there first customs I did involving paint. They such just based on lack of experience. I also mention my MK thread- these were pretty mundane and I’d love to revisit them now: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...t-axonrey.html

I mainly started with LBC's. Here is Lincoln Echo Six from "The Island."
Now I don't mind painting across joints. Here is my latest: This is my favorite from last year:

That’s just my opinion though. I think you did a good job. Even added the scar over his Sub zeros brothers eye. Dope. Quote:
You’ve definitely gotten better man. CC looks good, but your skills are showing on that roadblock 100%

If this thread proves one thing, it’s that we’ve got a lot of good customizers on this site.

I didn't mold any of the parts but I may ar may not have made the knife sheath for CL, I honestly don't remember. Also I think I just used whatever testor paints I had around.
