I'm pretty new to this customizing thing, but I've learned a lot already from the tutorials and threads here (particularly the tutorial on how to take apart the torso, which I found most enlightening).
But I've found one problem with all of the customs that I've done - whenever I try and paint joints like the the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle joints, where parts are moving inside a molded piece, it comes out fine, but the paint gets scraped off when I move the joint. I have washed and scrubbed those areas with soap and water, let the paint dry for half a day without moving that area, but to no avail. I was just wondering what techniques you guys use to handle this problem. Do I sand the part down ever so slightly so that when it goes inside, it won't scrape? Or is there any way to take all joints apart, without having to sculpt a new part (as I can't seem to find that Green Stuff here in Macau)? All help would be greatly appreciated. TIA! |
