Anyone ever try swaping out the lower legs on modern era figures? I've done it a ton of times on six inch figures with heating and pooping the pins out, but tried it on Joes once but they're so timy it wasn't working. Is it possible or would I be wasting my time?
I really want to use the thigh and knee armor on a Stilleto figure but not the boots, so I'm trying to swap just the lower legs.

I use a hairdryer to heat up the lower leg, then use a small flat head screwdriver to pry one side over, the side with the smaller pin head (outside of leg). To put the leg back on another knee, see 46’s post below. There can be issues. The knees come in different sizes and don’t automatically fit. But the problem is usually fitting a knee to the upper leg so if the knee you want is already on the uppers that should make it easier. Still, the peg holes in the knees can be different sizes and the thickness of the disk can vary.

Cool, thanks for replying so fast. Will wrestle with it more later then. Wasn't sure since the plastic is harder than a 1/12 figure if it were still doable, though I suppose if you really think about, Hasbro has to get the lower leg on some how, right?

When putting them back together, put the pin in and lay the leg down so the bigger pin head is up. Then use the tip of closed needle nose pliers and push directly down on the big pin head until it pops back in place. You won't mash up the rest of the leg that way.

Yup, this all works. I use the hot water method myself instead of blow dryer. But they are equally good.
