i know almost everyone here knows about toyhax but i thought it would be good to share anyways since all there stages can be scaled up for 6 inch figures. also any sticker sets would probably work with any 1:12 scale vehicles.

I'm currently in the process of 3D printing the Sky Hawk, scaled up for Action Force. It should probably fit that small line that Hasbro makes too.
I'm also re-creating the Dragonfly and scaling it up. I did a detailed recreation of the Rotors and skids so far and am happy with how they turned out. It took a lot of printing to get the skids to get the friction fit to work right. It's time consuming work to recreate these parts, but a lot of fun. I finally got a beater fuselage that I could fully dismantle and potentially break. I am splitting the case this weekend so that I can discover how the thumb drive that spins the rotors work. I can't tell if they sonic welded or just glued the pieces together. It sort of looks like they have some spot welding going on, but unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge of what they were capable of back in '84 when it came to plastics toy construction. After I get the gimmick done then the big job of modeling the fuselage is going to be draft and then printed in Action Force size. My Steel Brigade should hopefully fit.

Sorry.... Necropost...
FYI - 1/12 Classified 6" scale Sky Hawk STL files are available on Thingiverse, in case you're interested. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4942194 I'm currently in the middle of printing one. I might even be already done, if it weren't for the learning curve of dialing in the hot end and improving bed adhesion LOL. As it stands, I've got a bunch of gap filling and painting to do, with the parts... There's also a really cool ( but *SUPER* detailed) print of a Dragon Hawk and Rattlesnake LANG on Cults3D: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/vari...6-15cm-figures This thing is organized like a true model kit though, with lots of small detail pieces to print out. It would be an awesome build, but seriously I think it will take a good month to print everything out and then assemble. It also costs almost $50 to purchase the STLs (which I did) and it comes with a freaking 50 page installation/assembly manual! I might go for it later on... -C Last edited by Cannibal869; 09-27-2021 at 09:29 PM.. |

I'd be down to print stuff for folks who are interested and don't have the time or space for a 3D printer.
