Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has tried something like silicone caulking for flexible gear, ie: vests, webgear, belts, capes, etc? Have been tooling around trying to make some armor/vests that would be removable, but attempts to come up with something that has flex to it hasn't pan out. Then my other problem would be budge. I would like to keep it as cheap and easy as possible, without pumping cash into this only to find that it isn't going to work or look as planned. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance, momaw nadon |

Corn Starch + Silicone could work, but it is a little thick (consistency) for such a small scale. It should work for press molds. I have heard adding acetone thins it out/liquidizes it thought.
It is called oogoo. https://www.instructables.com/id/How...ru-Substitute/ Last edited by Adventure Fun; 08-28-2020 at 06:18 PM.. |

Thanks for the link. I will have to try this and post progress, if it turns fruitful. I guess I wasn't searching with the right words to pull up any of this, so I thank you very much.

Maybe rolling it out and cutting strips could work. Not sure if it is gluable though.

I have also head of using black hockey tape to make harnesses. Then you can glue bits and bobs on them (can be made from green stuff molded or parts cut from generic soldiers).
