They are not exact. One ball is slightly bigger. Can't remember which, but it's fairly minor moddi g to get a fit

Can anyone tell me what some of the casters that sell painted items use to seal their paintjobs?

Ive had a few casts painted(particularly StarWarsGeek) and that painjob is like indestructible

Ive tried so many options(krylon&rustoleum clear, mod podge, old model masters) and never get remotely close to that.
Hopefully the new paints I got help some with not being so cheap.

Using good base paint is probably the solution. I rarely seal and don't have issues. Craft paint will chip from plastic- sealed or not.

That's good to know. I feel more confident about possibly doing this Rocketeer custom. I can order the Dime Novel Hero figure for the torso and legs from MTF and give it a try. I see AVACS had an amazing movie rocket pack. I know his store is down at the moment but it's good to know someone has a rocket for this scale.
