Did they make brown suits? I don't remember that from the pre-order.

Nor do I, just blue, green and white suited figures, but then again I missed the accessories in new colours as well.

Honestly, not sure where/when I got it, but it matches the MTF suit perfectly.

Here’s what I’m going for: SE (and eventually Scarlett) from “Bystander” mini comic in Yearbook #4.

What happened to that jacket to make it lighter on the left side? I want to do an Eisner's Spirit, and would love for the blue to be less dark.

That’s me attempting to first carefully glue it...then paint it...then chuck it! The stress of putting the jacket on, it being flexible material, requires a higher pay grade customizer to fix so it won’t show. I then tore it worse because I was pissed at my impatience. *shrugs*

Silver-lining: Scrapping the blue jacket and painting the whole figure actually made me come closer (kind of) to the correctly colored suit he wore, sooo...all’s well that ends well.

Snake Eyes from the mini comic “Bystander” in Yearbook #4...

That’s always a kick in the nuts but I did see your finished product and I’m glad you painted the entire suit

I don’t know why but brushes really interest me. I have “a lot” and tried so many before I got the results I wanted. Right now I commonly use 14 different brushes, I feel like that sounds crazy. I’m rocking a Master Touch 1/4” flat with synthetic hair to paint large amount of space, use an Army Painters set, and a set of Winsor & Newton series 7. I got lucky and they were all gifts except for the Master Touch brush.

If you are looking for a brush small enough for eye details take a look at Winsor Newton series 7 size 000 or the Army Painter Wargamer: The Psycho. Both are super fine at the tip and apply well.
thanks for the tips. When I started customizing, my at the time turning into a teenager daughter, gave me a bunch of her art supplies, but the little brushes eluded me. I will definitely check those out.

MTF builds are easy money. Even breaking them down to bear parts for t bars and arms is not bad.

When you build from complete scratch cast , MTF gets tricky. There t bars and arm tabs are a lot longer than standard Joes,

So I find myself dremel, melting and gluing to fit the blank cast.

Which is not before HEAVY customizing on the cast themselves as most of the time they don’t line up evenly anyway.

I’m working on printed t bar cast that will fit bodies a lot better.

Doing a single breakdown figure’s t bar and arm bars from complete scratch takes about 45 minutes then the glue and heated plastic needs another solid 2 hours to dry.

Which while that simmers I’ll pre prep the body, abdomen and sockets

That's a crazy amount of investment, but it definitely pays off and shows in your final product.

Here's one that's probably a longshot, but I've seen stranger heads casted in the past; anyone know of a headsculpt that resembles Rudy Ray Moore? Preferably a cast, since I'm not a big fan of buying figures for just one part. I want to get around to doing a Dolemite figure with an MTF suit eventually.
