I got an Avengers Assemble Black Widow head for the custom I wanted to do. It's as close to what I had in mind and the best I could find. Great! I tried putting it on a Boss Fight neck and...it sits very high on the neck. Not great!
I ordered that female zombie fighter figure that went up earlier this week from Boss Fight and if need be, I can use that head, but I was wondering if there were any other female heads that would fit a Boss Fight female neck that would be in the vein of a long haired Black Widow? |

Hey Zap,
Here's the hole: Here's the figure on the neck peg: And here's the figure without the neck peg, which won't go over the neck itself: |

You might chop the neck (shorten it) and drill a hole for the barbell if need be.

Oof! Yeah, short of performing mods to the BFS neck, that head isn't going to work.

Take a dremel and carefully run it around the head cavity to widen the opening of the head itself- NOT the peg hole. Sometimes there’s enough material to remove from the inside of the chin and jaws to allow the head to drop on the bfs neck. I’ll take a look at that head and see if it seems possible

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the help. And, if worst comes to worst and I can't use this Black Widow head, I can always use the one that comes with the Boss Fight Studios figure I ordered. I got that one because, from the photo, she has a tank top underneath the jacket and I can definitely use that for the base of a Flashdance-style shirt (If it has a shoulder strap, then I'm set)
I also got some blue and yellow putty in the mail. I'm still watching videos on how to work with green stuff, It seems more firm than the sticky-tack I've been using for practice, but I'm sure I'll have more questions for when I'm comfortable giving it a try. |

That seems to be the most common tip I've seen when looking it up. When doing clothing, should you put water on the figure's surface as well.
For the custom I'm going to do, the Flashdance-style shirt, I don't anticipate that piece of clothing ever coming off, but for another one I'd like to do, a Doc Savage custom, I'm thinking about the torn shirt and if it should be removable or not. Also a good question...how do you paint a figure with Greenstuff clothing on it? I'd like to have the Flashdance shirt painted gray and since it won't be removable, how does one prime the Greenstuff before painting if its permanently attached for the figure? |
