As much as I love Joy Toy's stuff, I find the joints more trouble than usual for customs. Great articulation, but the struggle with paint rub is real. So if you're planning on painting the lower body for Snake Eyes you might want to find some properly colored joints.

Thank you for the feedback. I have thought about that and feel you are correct. The part I am concerned with is the diapers and the thigh rub. I am going to try one as a test with 3 coats of varnish and cross my fingers.

What are your thoughts on airbrushing?
Do any of you use an airbrush on your customs? Or is it strictly paint brushes? Combination of the two?

I don't tend to use an airbrush, but mostly because I am too lazy to set them up and clean them! I do use the spray rattle cans if I am laying down a base colour, and especially on vehicles. In my opinion they give the same nice finish but with a lot less maintenance (although they are designed to paint the entire surface, so no fine details). I use the Army Painter spray cans available in a range of colours with built in primer.

Fall have you tried buying the few unpainted joytoy ones from bbts? May be easier to sand the joints since you get them in pieces not together? Bought a couple but haven’t gotten around to painting and customizing them yet.
