I am wondering how to customize 25th G.I. Joes. Also... how can I put heads on them from the ARAH line and other stuff including taking them apart. Please help.

There is a faq somewhere on how to do heads. I use a jewelers saw, drill, hot glue gun, and vaseline. some heads work great, others are a pain.
There is another faq for taking them apart. The forearms, hands and feet can all be taken apart with either a hair dryer or boiling water. Essentially you warm the joints and pop them out. If you have more than one donor for the legs, you may need to take and replace the knee. The heating method works to loosen the pegs that hold the knee to the lower leg. Thighs are self explanatory. Torsos use a woodblock method. It takes practice but you put a corner of a wood block into the crevice of the torso under an armpit. you take a wooden mallet and smack the opposite shoulder. I don't have a woodblock or wooden mallet so I do the same thing only I put a figure in a sock and use the corner of my workbench with a medium sized hammer. |
