So, another update: I was told the shop was on a short term break. I asked for a refund. Let's see how that goes.

Yeah, they screwed me too. My order was from March, so PayPal told me tough shit. This is now the third caster to steal from me. I think I'm done with this hobby.

wonder what happened here. Did they get tired of making money? Did they fall behind in their casting? Did they just get lazy? Did they turn into crooks!

I'm not sure, but I put in a refund request with Paypal. Let's see how that goes. A part of me was really hoping to get those two heads I ordered, though. I wanted to give the Doc Savage custom a try.
I'm fairly new to this hobby, but I really got into the custom casts people made. Between Vortious taking forever with his stuff and this, it does make things extra frustrating. I believe avacslab should be coming back soon. I wonder how long the turnaround time for them is. I too wonder what's going on with these custom sites. Is it the pandemic? Is it that they can't meet the demand of their orders? I'm not sure. |

I'll always pop up to sing the praises of AvacsLab. lol His turnaround time is great, and most importantly, if it's an extended timetable, he'll let you know. If he gets overwhelmed, he does the smart thing and closes down until he's in a good position to reopen. And he keeps some casts on hand to ease the impact of numerous orders.
StarWarsGeek is another great one. He has both his eCrater store and his eBay shop. He's make to order, but maintains that one month timeline solid. They're my two most consistent go-tos. But casters like Fantastic3D and Plastic-Curves have also been pretty reliable.

So glad to hear about Avacslab. It’s the only one I haven’t ordered from yet, but when their store is back up and running id like to give it a shot.
