A long time ago in a galaxy far away I recall seeing someone here make a modern TF Flint kitbash using the Joe Con TF Recondo as a base and Retaliation Flint head.
Try as I might, I can't find the picture. As I recall it was in a group display with all the TF Con figures (perhaps in a case or shelves) and someone asked specifically for more pics of TF Flint. Can anyone point me in the right direction to see it again? Last edited by Dod Ear; 08-19-2018 at 08:58 AM.. |

Ha - I thought it was you! I actually scrolled through your collection this morning but stopped when I saw the official 25th TG Flint figuring I was wrong.
Thanks for the response. Trying to recall, did you use Ret Firefly legs? Was there any painting involved? For the record love many of the things you do and enjoy the inspiration. My kids love when I show them pics of your collection. Last edited by Dod Ear; 08-19-2018 at 10:09 AM.. |

The Ret FF legs are gray with the original figure hip piece being olive drab, so it’s somewhat noticeable in the pic. It’s really not bad in hand so I left it as is. And I’m glad to hear your kids enjoyed the collection pics, hopefully I can update them soon as I added a lot of new stuff.

Looks great - thanks again. I won't bother you much after this, but want to confirm the recipe:
Joe Con Recondo torso Ret Flint head Ret FF legs Joe Con recondo lower arms? 25th Flint webgear? Which version? MTF beret? hands? I'm thinking maybe MTF can put together a good TF Duke facsimile to complete them in modern sculpts My oldest (9) id a big TF fan (G1 - not the movies) so I take him to the MP thread. The like they great Joe displays and army builders too - they tell me they didn't know there was anyone with that many Joes! Last edited by Dod Ear; 08-19-2018 at 01:56 PM.. |

Correct on all counts. The webgear is from the 25th TF Flint. The hands I’m unsure about, I’m not home but will get back to you later on them.

Just got home and found the original post in the custom kitbash thread:
I needed TF Flint to round out the collection after I got Outback and Sneak Peek: Head: Wave 1 Ret or Eco Force Flint Body, arms: TF Recondo Hands: 50th Flint Legs: Ret Ult Firefly Webgear, guns: 25th TF Flint Beret: MGR No paint whatsoever, but I needed to dremel the head as it sat too high on the neck.
