Does anybody know what is a good Caucasian skin tone? I've just gotten into the gi joe customizing business and don't know a good skin tone for a Caucasian male! Aswell if anybody could give me an idea on what are some good paints, that would be much appreciated!
Thank you! |

Testors and most modeling paint companies will sell various pre mixed flesh tones. In art school we would make our own with a combination of titanium white (you can try unbleached cotton also), cadmium orange and yellow ochre, the only problem with mixing is replicating it so make enough for all intended flesh areas.

Thanks a lot! I've checked Michael's and they only had testors enamel paints. I'm in Canada so it may be different than in the US. Before I was using apple barrel and craftsmart acrylic paint, they aren't good at all! Are those colours all testors paints?

Enamel paints won't work on soft plastics so be careful, it stays tacky forever, I use several types, Model Color acrylics, Tamia acrylics, and Citadel games workshop paints, have had great luck with all of these, try online if you can't find in stores, the Citadel paints have shades, washes, and pre mixed highlighter paints that work all by themselves, check out the tutorial section too, some great advice and tips from some Great customizes here..

No those are classic paint colors and will be available in any professional grade acrylic, oil, water colors or whatever. Testers actually has a website to order from if you can't find anything locally. I like Testors because of their military colors.
