Hi everyone,
Maybe someone in the forum has experience with some model kits specially in the 1:32 scale. We all know that the Joe vehicles specially jets and helis are not accurate in terms of scale. They do this to make them smaller, affordable and cheaper to produce. If I remember correctly they are more in 1:24 or even 1:32 scale with oversized cockpits. Recently I bought a 1:25 Batwing which with some work, making my own cockpit seat will be able to fit some 4'' figures. Females fit perfectly by the way. So today I went to look for model kits in these scales. There are a few 1:24 kits which are very expensive and I think they are still very big in this scale. As so I looked for 1:32 and there a bit more choices. Now my question is obvious, can a 4'' figure fit on them, taking the entire seat and cockpit out? It is just a measure of seating it inside and see if there is enough height and width, specially the last because I think height will not be a problem. Anyone has a 1:32 kit or has worked on one before?

I was hoping someone had more info than I do. From what I have seen you are correct, I think 1:32 would be a good scale for the 4" Joes. Wish I could find a cool inexpensive kit to experiment with.

Ye 1:32 kits are a bit expensive. I sent a mail to bar he is a user of the forum and he works a lot with model kits or at least he did in the past.
Would be good to get some feedback but I'm confident it can work with 4" figures. Só far I found an harrier, eurofigther and A10 in 1:32 scale

1:32 is pretty small. Here's some in hand pics of vehicles in 1:32 scale

You are correct about the cars but not about planes. And what I want to use is planes.
Have a look here: Revell F15E Eagle Fighter Aircraft Model Plane Kit. This F15 is 1/32 and it's huge. You can more or less guess it by looking at the glue tube, paints, keyboard, lamp etc. next to it. Probably around the size of a Thunderwing or bigger. Also here: North American P-51D Mustang Plastic Model Kit, 1/32 Scale It says the length is 12in and wingspan 14in which is quite big very close or same as that Sgt. Savage P40 probably bigger. Now as I said this doesn't mean anything because if the cockpit area does not have enough width it will be very hard to fit a figure inside. Hasbro and other companies mostly use 1:32 scale for their jets but they adapt the cockpit a possibly the body structure making them wider.

That eagle would make a killer single seat fighter, wish I could find one on the cheap.

alot of the older ww2 era plane kits seem to be to small and narrow for the joes but the latest 1/32 fighter jets seem to be just wide enough and long enough to make it work without too much chopping and cutting the cockpit/front area of the plane.

Absolutely, scale isn't a set measurement for every vehicle, it's relevant to each vehicle. A car is much smaller than an f15 so of course a 1/32 car is too small. Modern fighters and choppers in 1/32 are great for single seat joe vehicles. Definitely going to try one in the future.

You're going the wrong way, go with 1/16th scale bro.
